This was aparently shown every year around Christmas on WGN here in Chicago, it was one of my mom's favorites (after Suzy Snowflake, of course). Thought you might all get a chuckle from it =0) Especially the creepy looking Santa...
I love Hardrock, Coco & Joe! I always wondered if Joe had self esteem issues. After all, he serves no purpose, unlike his trusty peers and then they throw snowballs at him.
There's always a chance of that, I suppose. Although you have to rememebr that these movies were made before self esteem was an issue! He probably just thought he was special because Santa wanted to bring him along for the ride!
Or, was he particularly "needy" due to the poor self esteem that plagued him and so he stepped on whoever he needed to in order to get to Santa's sleigh?
You make a good point. We never seem to see any other elves... maybe they're all battered and bruised and therefore couldn't be seen on camera. It could be that the other two throw snowballs at him in order to get back at him for harming theeir other friends.
